Gift Registry Setup Instructions
Gift Registry setup requires a valid Growing Up Organic website login. If you do not already have one, you can register by selecting the "Login" option from the Organic Links menu or by clicking here. Once registered, you are now able to log into the site and access the gift registry by clicking on the link provided in the Organic Links menu.
After logging into the website and at the gift registry page, you can create a new gift registry "event", or modify existing registries that you have created.
To create a new event, click on the new event button and fill in all fields that have an asterisk (*) symbol beside it. The Status field allows you to either make your event public and searchable by other non-registered users visiting the site, or private which does not allow searching, but instead sends emails as invites for specific persons. The description field, when populated, will be used in the email to describe the event to the people on the mailing list. The HTML-content field, allows you to use html markup langauge to add graphics or color to the outgoing invite email, however, this field is not necessary. The Guestbook drop down menu, when enabled, allows invitees or other visitors to leave a message related to the registry.
Once the event has been created, you will now add recipients to a list of recipients that you would like the event sent to via email. At this time, the email is not sent out, you are only creating the list of email recipients. Select "Edit Event recipients list" and add the names and email addresses of as many recipients as require. You always have the option of adding to this list at a later time, and resending a notificaiton to the newly added recipients. Click "update" to actually save the recipient to the list.
The most important step to the gift registry is adding products to the event wish list. This is simply done by jumping into the shopping area of the Growing Up Organic website and adding products by saving them to your event wish list. The entire list can again be viewed in the gift registry management pages for a specific event. Please note, at this time out-of-stock items cannot be added to the event registry. Should you wish to include an out-of-stock item, call (403) 618-1780 or email Nicole and have her add the item for you.
The last step is to send an email notification to alert friends and family that a new event has been registered, and they can start shopping on the site and fulfilling your event wish list requests.
